Wardour

Wardour is an exclusive historic community in West Annapolis. It was designed by Frederick Law Olmstead Jr, in the early 1900’s—the man who also designed the grounds for the White House, the Jefferson Memorial, and the National Cathedral. Mr. Olmstead carefully planned the community to preserve the large, historic trees on the property, and his work has lived on in the beautiful foliage surrounded the homes.

Wardour is home to many beautiful restored estates–nine of which are available for viewing in the Annapolis Home & Garden Tour. You’ll also find newer large colonial and craftsman homes, as well as more modest cottages. The grounds also feature multiple paths to the Severn River, with exceptional views, small boat racks, and private, resident-only swimming beaches. Best of all, it’s only a short walk from Wardour to the lovely restaurants and shops of West Annapolis.
