Admiral Heights

The Admiral Heights community was built in the mid 20th’s century, on what was once the Dorsey family farm. The Dorsey family broke their land up into several hilariously-named sections: “Wet Weather,” “Patient’s Trouble,” “Pillaged Land,” and “Dispute Ended,” among others.

The Dorseys later bequeathed land and homes to St. John’s College. Developer Charles Steffy purchased the remaining land in the late 1930’s, and along with his son Jack, he planned and built a residential community by 1958. They named it Admiral Heights. Now it has over 600 homes, and is considered an established community in Annapolis.

Today, Admiral Heights is a water-privileged community that’s only minutes from Annapolis mall, The Naval Academy, the Historic District, and the Bay Bridge. Home prices range from the high 300’s to over 5 million.
